Kittie’s Hinting at a ‘Spit’ 25th Anniversary of Some Kind
They'd be a year off, but who's counting... The post Kittie’s Hinting at a ‘Spit’ 25th Anniversary of Some Kind appeared first on MetalSucks.

Said it once, I’ve said it a million times — nostalgia’s a hell of a drug. Hence why it’s not surprising that there may be plans from Canadian metal band Kittie to take a look back on their 1999 debut Spit for a sort of late 25th anniversary project.
Over the weekend, Kittie shared a post online featuring two photos: an old photo of frontwoman Morgan Lander with Spit and Oracle producer GGGarth Richardson and a more modern shot of the band with the same man. Under the photo read the caption: “1999 but make it 2025 #somethingiscoming #XXV #fullcircle”
Needless to say, the hashtags and caption sort of give it away. We’re gonna get some sort of anniversary thing from Kittie before the year’s end. My money’s on a remix or remaster, but there could also be a long ass tour planned for later this year.
All of this comes after Kittie reunited back in 2022 after years out of the spotlight. Now, with 2024’s Fire out and a new lease on life given to the band, it’s been interesting to see what the band does next. Here’s hoping this little trip down memory lane sparks their creativity once again and we get another album sooner than later.
