Jordon Hudson’s Friends Say She Really Loves Bill Belichick, Doesn’t Want His Fortune: “She Made Her Own Money”

Maybe she’s just misunderstood?

Of course, the relationship between Bill Belichick and his much younger girlfriend (she’s 24-years old and he is 73) has taken the college football and sports world by storm — they’re constantly in the headlines, and Jordon has made her presence in Chapel Hill very known since Bill has become the head coach there.

Earlier this year, questions swirled after Hudson was spotted on the field with Belichick during UNC football practices, leaving many to wonder exactly what role she was playing with the team and whether she was on Belichick’s staff.

And it was also revealed that the coach had asked UNC staff to copy his Hudson on emails to him, raising even more questions.

Then of course came the disastrous CBS interview on his new book, The Art Of Winning: Lessons From My Life In Football.

Hudson was the only person who accompanied Belichick to the interview: No PR team, no other staff from UNC, nobody from the publisher of his upcoming book, which he was supposedly there to promote. At one point Hudson reportedly stormed off the set and delayed shooting by 30 minutes, forcing higher-ups at CBS to get involved. And she had apparently interrupted from off camera several times in addition to the one that was shown, forcing producers to try to figure out how to salvage the final product and edit the interview in a way that could be aired on television.

When reporter Tony Dokoupil asked about how the couple met (which has been widely reported as having happened while the two were on a flight together and he signed her college textbook), Hudson quickly jumped in and shut the question down in an awkward exchange:

The whole thing was bizarre, and led many to wonder whether Hudson was taking advantage of the legendary coach – or at the very least, tarnishing his legacy.

Even Belichick’s daughter-in-law, the wife of his son Steve Belichick (who, ironically, works for his dad as the defensive coordinator for UNC) chimed in and seemed to throw shade at Hudson:

“Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview.”

Talk about awkward…

After the interview, there were rumors that UNC had even banned Hudson from football facilities, reports the university disputed in a statement defending the coach’s girlfriend:

“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

It wasn’t the first time the university has had to use their official channels to defend Hudson. UNC released a statement after the CBS interview defending their coach’s girlfriend and claiming that the interview was solely to talk about his new book, which CBS later denied with their own statement claiming that they hadn’t agreed to any restrictions on the conversation.

The whole thing is turning into a disaster for UNC and Belichick, a coach who notoriously liked to stay out of the headlines and away from the media to just focus on football.

During their first home game against TCU to open the season, Hudson was spotted talking to Belichick on the sideline ahead of the game before heading up to her suite (where she watched the matchup alongside Randy Moss). And again this week, Hudson and Belichick were spotted chatting on the field before the game kickoff, which has naturally led to a lot of conversation about whether she’s a distraction for the team this point – and a lot of memes to go with it:

But in an extensive article published by US Weekly, they spoke with several sources allegedly close to Hudson who claim she is misrepresented to the public. Her fellow former cheerleader Emily Rodriguez says she was a “really good teammate”:

“She was always a really good teammate and someone I could look up to.”

She also says Hudson let her stay in her apartment and helped her sister with travel expenses when their mother passed away:

“If somebody asks for something, she’s like, ‘What do you need, girl?’”

Another source told US  that Jordon isn’t after Bill’s money, thanks to a solid real estate portfolio. Although, it was reported that she has amassed over $8 million in real estate assets since getting with Bill:

“She already had money and was living a happy and comfortable life before Bill. She has apartments in Massachusetts. She made her own money.”

She also recently filed for a “Gold Digger” trademark license, so even if she has her own money, she’s seemingly looking to embrace that negative attention in some way… and let’s be honest, it’s easy to see why people have thrown that accusation around. It’s usually the first thing people think when they see a young, pretty girl with an older, successful man like Bill. That might be unfair, but it is what it is.

Hudson also previously worked at a salon in Cape Cod, and owner of West End Salon Dougie Freeman explained that Jordon has a “great work ethic,” describing her as “patient and gentle”:

“She has a great work ethic and she’s a very gifted artist and is patient and gentle.”

None of that exactly screams that she’s loaded on her own, but possibly the most interesting source they spoke with was Hudson’s ex-boyfriend, another man quite a few years her senior, 65-year-old businessman Joshua L. Zuckerman, who says Jordon is “wise beyond her years”:

“She is wise beyond her years. Much more than any 20-something I’ve ever met in my life.”

I mean, pretty high praise considering that’s her ex…

Maybe she just has a thing for older men?

Obviously, Hudson’s public image is less-than glowing because of some of the aforementioned public incidents and her relationship with Bill in general, but they’ve managed to stay a united front through it all and it seems like they have no intentions of ending anything anytime soon…
