In an exclusive interview with talkSPORT’s Faye Carruthers, he said: “I think with me, I’ll never hide or shy away from anything, I’ll always face the music whenever it comes that is a responsibility of being captain, and that responsibility also comes because I’ve been there for so long as well. “I care a lot for the club. The fans are similar to me. They are loyal and passionate, and want the best for their club. “As a player, you want what is best for your teammates and the team as well. “The start that we had wasn’t the one that we wanted, and sometimes emotions on the pitch with fans and players wanting results, it can happen [his clash with some West Ham fans at Wolves]. “But I can relate to the fans because I have been here for a long amount of time. “I understand, and I get it. Ultimately, I want to win, and I want the best for the club, but we’ve put that [incident] behind us, and we won on Sunday, and you saw the celebrations we had after the game on Sunday.
