"Gurning Rave Guy" Reemerges at Tomorrowland, Recreates Viral Meme
Shaun Jackson, the internet's favorite wide-eyed raver, brought his infamous energy to Charlotte de Witte's Tomorrowland set over a decade after first going viral.

Shaun Jackson, better known online as the "Gurning Rave Guy," has returned to the spotlight after surfacing at Tomorrowland 2025.
Over a decade since his wild-eyed, jaw-clenching moves took the internet by storm, Jackson was seen once again throwing down with full enthusiasm, this time in a sea of festivalgoers during Charlotte de Witte's set at the iconic EDM festival in Belgium. His original rise to viral game came in 2014 after promotional footage from a night at the Rumes nightclub in Preston caught him in full form, shirtless and shameless.
A plasterer by trade and former amateur boxer, Jackson hails from Chorley in the north of England. He wasn't chasing attention when that now-famous club clip surfaced, but once the internet took hold, he didn't shy away from it either.
With his bug-eyed stare and flailing limbs, he became something of a folk hero in certain corners of rave culture. His cult following grew so much that a limited-edition action figure of Jackson was released in 2022 as part of a collaboration between two UK-based creators.
Now in his 40s, Jackson has balanced his party presence with everyday life, posting TikToks that jump between dancing clips, construction work and podcast clips. Check out a clip of him raving at Tomorrowland 2025 below.
