Final details revealed of add-ons and fee in Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal transfer

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Viktor Gyökeres, with final details of the deal now emerging, according to trusted Portuguese journalist Nuno Farinha of CNN Portugal.

Farinha, who first reported the initial meeting between Arsenal and the Swedish striker’s agent, has now provided fresh insight into the fee structure that’s being finalised with Sporting CP.

The deal is described as being very close to completion, and attention has now turned to the breakdown of the €10million add-ons included in the agreement. Originally, Arsenal were pushing for a split that would see €3million fall into the “easily achievable” category and the remaining €7million based on more difficult conditions. However, new information suggests that the final compromise will see a 50-50 structure.

As it stands, €5million of the bonuses are expected to be triggered with relative ease—likely tied to appearances and basic performance metrics—while the remaining €5million are considered more ambitious, possibly linked to team achievements or individual accolades.

The base fee for Gyökeres is expected to be €63.5million (£55m), so a maximum amount of €73.5million (£63.7m) is possible.

Gyökeres, 27, became a major target for Arsenal after Andrea Berta’s arrival. With Mikel Arteta seeking a physically dominant forward who can contribute both goals and hold-up play, the Swedish international was identified as a perfect solution.

This update from Farinha reinforces that Arsenal’s pursuit of Gyökeres is nearing its conclusion, with both sides aligning on the final financial details. Once complete, it could be one of the most significant signings of the summer window for the Gunners.
