Teasing what’s in store for her next chapter of music.
Ella Langley is still riding a high from her debut record, hungover, and then released a deluxe edition of the record, still hungover. The massive collection of songs features fan favorites like “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Weren’t For The Wind.”
Ella Langley fans know that her duet with Riley Green placed her in the big leagues, scoring her her first CMA Award and winning a handful of awards at the ACM Awards. Langley was also named New Female Artist of the Year at this year’s ACMs.
To say she’s had a knockout year is an understatement.
Langley has not announced when fans should expect her next studio project; however, she has teased that she’s been in the studio working on her sophomore record. Langley is now giving fans a preview of what she’s been working on, teasing a new love song. She acoustically performs a snippet of a new song while sitting on a dock with Sam Kossler. She captioned the video:
“I’ve never met anyone like you…”
Langley also tagged HARDY and Jordan Schmidt on the post, which suggests they contributed to the creation of this tune.
Langley sings a tune about a girl who meets a man who turns her world upside down. The song has a very different tone than her last hit, “Weren’t For The Wind,” which highlights choosing yourself over a relationship if it no longer serves you, or “YLLYLM,” which was a cheeky song about taking someone home from the bar and getting some.
This new song highlights the mushy gushy feelings, similar to traditional country music stylings. But in classic Ella Langley fashion, even though there might be influence of some of the great love songs from the genre’s past, she still found a way to make it her own and to fit her sound.

This is a much softer side to Langley than the edgy, Stevie Nicks “Gold Dust Woman” vibe that she has gotten from her recently. But I am HERE for it. Her ability to showcase a variety of emotions and evoke those gritty feelings, along with the more gentle and loving emotions, shows how much she’s developed as an artist and grown into her songwriting.
If this is what Ella Langley is coming out of the gate with for teasing her next chapter of music, in the words of Lainey Wilson, she will continue to “kick down barn doors.”
