Jordan said: “Isak doesn’t owe the club anything, he signed for the club, has played for the club and performed well for the club, so it’s a partnership between the club and the player. “The club gave him a contract and he played to his natural ability, so the idea of ‘Look at what Newcastle have done for him’…look at what he’s done for Newcastle. “The reality of the situation is quite simple, we’re talking about quotes that are not attributed to the players, we’re talking about understandings from journalists. “The player is using the media so he can funnel information through, we know that these things will be resolved, at some point, this will come to a resolution. “If a player is suggesting through the media that he isn’t going to play for the club again, then that shouldn’t be something that is allowed, as a contract needs to mean something.”
