Dillon Francis Is Turning Monterey Car Week Into a Rave

Monterey Car Week has long been synonymous with high-end car shows, multimillion-dollar auctions and historic races. This year, it’s making history for a different reason: Dillon Francis will be the first ever headline performer to close out Monterey Motorsports Festival.

Now in its third year, the festival has always featured live music alongside its eclectic display of vehicles. But until now, no single artist has been billed as the marquee draw. Francis’ booking marks the first time an artist has been positioned as the centerpiece of the festival’s entertainment, according to a press release. The superstar DJ and producer will throw down a 75-minute DJ set on Saturday, August 16th.

Known for his genre-bending productions and irreverent stage presence, the chart-topping producer adds a new cultural dimension to a week historically rooted in vintage motorsports. His set on the Arena Stage will conclude the festival at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, capping this year’s Car Week celebration with a mainstage-worthy dance music experience.

Joining Francis on the bill are The Outlaw Mariachi as well as leading Journey cover band Don’t Stop Believing. Local bands Latin Jazz Collective and Sensory Tribe are also set to perform.
