Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Laughs In The Face Of Reporter Who Asks Why He Didn’t Acknowledge Female Pilot When Congratulating “Our Boys”

Good to see our media is back to asking the important questions.
You’d think after all of the criticism they’ve received for sleepwalking through the Biden administration and covering up President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, they would be more focused on…being better at their job. But that’s clearly not the case.
Obviously a lot of them lost their minds after the mission by the United States over the weekend to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities. It’s almost like they were hoping President Donald Trump would lead us into World War III, which obviously didn’t happen.
The Trump administration has touted the mission as an overwhelming success, highlighting the bravery and skill of our troops who flew the B2 bombers for 37 hours straight to carry out the strikes. And after the mission, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth praised the brave pilots for their work:
“We were able to destroy nuclear capabilities. And our boys in those bombers are on their way home right now.”
But rather than focusing on the success of the mission or the impact that it would have on international affairs, the media decided to focus on Hegseth referring to the pilots as “our boys in those bombers” after it was revealed that at least one of the pilots was a female:
The New York Times even fact checked Hegseth’s claim:
Are they worried that Hegseth was only congratulating the male pilots and not the female? And they wonder why nobody takes them seriously.
Well despite all of the mocking they received for their manufactured outrage, a reporter once again tried to call out the Defense Secretary for not being inclusive with his language during a briefing at the Department of Defense today – and it didn’t go well.
The female reporter clearly came prepared with her hard-hitting question:
“Why not acknowledge the female pilots that also participated in this mission? The early messages that you sent out only congratulated the boys.”
Absolute insanity. You have the Secretary of Defense in front of you to answer questions and you’re asking him about using gender-inclusive language.
And Hegseth laughed in her face:
“See, this is the kind of thing the press does. Of course, the Chairman mentioned, a female bomber pilot. That’s fantastic. She’s fantastic. She’s a hero. I want more female bomber pilots. I hope the men and women of our country sign up to do such brave and audacious things.
But when you spin it as, because I say ‘our boys in bombers’ as a common phrase, I’ll keep saying things like that, whether they’re men or women. I’m very proud of that female pilot, just like I’m very proud of those male pilots, and I don’t care if it’s a male or female in that cockpit, and the American people don’t care. But it’s that obsession with race and gender in this department that’s changed priorities. We don’t do that anymore. We don’t play your little games.”
Nailed it. Nobody cares, and if I had to guess, I would say the female pilot in the cockpit doesn’t care about things like that either.
