It’s no secret that California is a bit of a disaster right now, whether it’s rampant homelessness, crime, the massive state budget deficit, wildfire management, and now, people rioting in Los Angeles, the track record is far from impressive. And it’s a shame because California is a beautiful state… I’ve probably been there close to ten times, always a have a great time… food scene is good, weather is phenomenal, people are generally pretty chill… it’s fun for a few days.
But like many places, especially cities, in America right now, it’s been ruined by hyper progressive policy that turns a blind eye to important issues like crime and focuses on things like diversity, and making sure that boys get a chance to compete against girls in high school sports.
And after Donald Trump absolute destroyed Kamala Harris in a landslide election that found Democrats losing every single swing state, Gavin has tried to move a little more moderate on policies, or so he claims. Positioning himself for a Presidential run in 2028, he’s making the rounds on podcasts, even some more Conservative ones like Charlie Kirk or Bill Maher, who has leaned more right as of late.
But then you something as a mundane as a birthday post that tells you all you need to know about Gavin Newsom… he’s just as woke as ever.

First partner? Still can’t define a woman, huh? Or just unwilling to in order to appease some hyper woke, politically correct, minority of voters that are gonna vote blue anyways? Make it make sense, Gavin… make it make sense. And the irony is that he uses “mother” in the same sentence. But the real kicker is that most Democrats, even many of the more progressive ones, are not offended in the slightest by the word “lady” or “woman.” You’re doing this performative virtue signaling to appease a very small group of people…
Of course, throughout her career as an actress and filmmaker, Jennifer Seibel Newsom has been a champion of women’s initiatives. She supported #EqualPayCA to reduce wage gaps in California; California for ALL Women/Kids to push for equitable representation, family support policies, and better support for kids and she co-founded California Partners Project, a nonprofit working to boost women’s leadership and ensure tech/media benefit kids. Even her filmmaking shines a light on women’s causes. She wrote, directed, and produced Miss Representation (2011), which centered around the media’s portrayals of women, and then followed it up with The Mask You Live In (2015), exploring masculinity in modern society.
A staunch champion of women’s causes yet she refuses to go by “first lady”… make it make sense, Jen… make it make sense. She’s gone by “First Partner” since Gavin was elected in 2019, but once again, caught some deserved mockery after Gavin’s birthday post this week.
