Bunnie Xo Addresses Drinking In Italy With Jelly Roll After 7 Years Of Sobriety: “If I Want To Let My Hair Down, I Will”

Bunnie Xo is addressing one of her recent Instagram posts and why some fans might be confused. In a recent post, Bunnie Xo shared a wholesome clip of her and Jelly Roll dancing in a club in Europe. The two are currently living their best lives while accompanying Post Malone on the Big A** Stadium tour.

Jelly Roll is especially excited that this is his first tour stint in Europe, and is truly living his best life exploring various cities across the pond. Of course, Bunnie Xo joined her husband on the adventure, not only to support him during each of his performances, but also to enjoy some time as a couple seeing new sights and places.

While the couple was in Rome, they shared a clip of themselves dancing to Run-DMC’s “Walk This Way,” which samples the famed Aerosmith song, along with clips of them singing karaoke and other various jams. The wholesome video shows Bunnie and Jelly having a ball, but some fans were quick to see that Bunnie Xo was holding a champagne bottle in her hand.

Bunnie, who has been sober for over half a decade, knew fans would clock this and addressed it in the caption.

“Ya girl drank. When in Rome.”

Bunnie Xo furthered her thoughts in the caption, calling out fans who reprimanded her for drinking after being sober:

“Before anyone can say another ‘I thought you were sober’ comment. Yes, I’m sober, I stopped drinking in 2018 because my mental health couldn’t handle the hangovers the next day. But if I want to let my hair down with my husband and have a drink in Rome, I will. BEST NIGHT EVERRRRRRR”

Bunnie Xo has spoken candidly about her sobriety in the past, sharing that in her past as a sex worker, she developed an addiction to pills, especially Xanax. She also admitted that she would often binge drink until she passed out, and shared that she developed a cocaine habit.

A year after she and Jelly Roll got together, she looked at him and said she didn’t want it in her system anymore, so she stopped cold turkey. Bunnie shared that she and Jelly Roll getting full custody of his daughter, Bailee Ann, pushed her to get sober, wanting to set a good example for her. Bailee’s mother suffers from substance abuse issues as well, and Bunnie Xo wanted to be present for her stepdaughter and show up every day clear-headed and sound of mind for her.

“Bailee has been such a pivotal, healing. Just helped me on this journey because she and I literally live parallel lives. Like what she deals with with her mom is what I’ve had to go through, so watching her heartbreak for the past eight years with her relationship with her biological mom has been healing, but also just so frustrating.

I want to help her and save her. But I can’t. I have to let her go through it herself. But at the same time, I’m so overly protective of her. So definitely Bailee was the monumental point of us both wanting to change our lives.”
