Bloodstock to Feature a Huge Ozzy Tribute Wall

Next month at Bloodstock, fans will be able to show their love and admiration for “The Prince Of Darkness” as organizers announced an “unmissable 17m Ozzy tribute wall”.

Set to be constructed near the main stage, the wall will be a place for fans to “write their heartfelt messages of tribute and/or condolence on it.” In addition to the wall, organizers said the festival will include “other commemorative moments during the festival.” What that means is still up in the air, though it wouldn’t be shocking if some bands already have plans to cover some Ozzy and Black Sabbath tunes during their sets.

Bloodstock’s full statement on the installation reads as follows:

“All at Team Bloodstock are devastated at the loss of Ozzy, the one and only Prince Of Darkness. Some members of our team were lucky enough to be at Villa Park for the almighty Black Sabbath’s incredible final show, others watched the livestream… all were moved. The impact that Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne had on heavy metal can never be overstated.

“It’s been touching to see all the tributes from across the world since his passing, and we know Bloodstockers have big hearts. There will now be an unmissable 17m Ozzy tribute wall next to the main stage (by the charity stands), and Bloodstock encourages all fans to write their heartfelt messages of tribute and/or condolence on it. There will be other commemorative moments during the festival as well. Horns aloft.”

Bloodstock is a four-day event that takes over Catton Park in Derbyshire. This year’s event will run from August 7 to 10, with Trivium, Machine Head, and Gojira headlining the three main dates.
