BBC Axed Ozzy Osbourne Documentary Hours Before It Was Going to Air

If you’re in the U.K. and were anticipating the release of the documentary Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, you were very likely confused when the clock struck 9 p.m. your time and it wasn’t there. There’d been some fanfare for the documentary’s airing, but without so much as a readily accessible public statement.

In a statement provided to US Weekly, the BBC said that they’ll provide new details on the documentary’s airing when it knows more:

“The film has moved in the schedules, and we’ll confirm new [transmission] details in due course.”

Though that’s less than ideal, it’s at least heartening that they still intend to run the documentary that’s while Ozzy and Sharon try to move their lives out of the US. and back into the U.K. Unfortunately, the film’s focus likely shifted to Ozzy’s deteriorating health and how it affected the family.

The documentary was originally planned for 2022 when Ozzy and Sharon announced they were moving back to the U.K. from their long-time residence in the U.S. The documentary was seen by some circles as the continuation of The Osbournes.

All of this comes just weeks after Ozzy’s death on July 22. The world over mourned his loss after only having celebrated his life and career at the now iconic ‘Back to the Beginning’ on July 5.

There’s no planned air date for the documentary at this point, but we’ll b e sure to hlep you Brits out with the info once we get it.
