Asshole Arrested for Stealing Flowers from an Ozzy Memorial Site

Man, there’s being an asshole and then there’s being this fucking guy. British police took a man into custody for allegedly stealing flowers left at a public memorial for Ozzy Osbourne in his hometown of Birmingham.

According to a report by the BBC, 45-year-old Parviz Jafari was apprehended by West Midlands Police on August 2 and charged with theft for allegedly taking flowers from the Black Sabbath bench on Broad Street. Following his arrest, Jafari will be required to go before the magistrates on September 3.

The Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham has become a de facto pilgrimage site for metalheads around the world, as they continue to pay their respects to Ozzy, who passed away in his home on July 22. Members of Ozzy’s family viewed the tributes at the bridge as Ozzy’s body was transported to its final resting place.

Now, with Ozzy properly interred into his final resting place at his home in Buckinghamshire, Birmingham City Council has had volunteers picking up the various items and tributes to Ozzy taken to a secure location for photographing and documenting in an effort to digitally categorize everything. That way, the Osbournes will always have access to a digital repository of everything fans left behind for the late metal icon.
