AREA15 Las Vegas Launching Nightlife Venue Inside Boeing 747 Plane

In just two weeks on August 14th, AREA15 will open the doors to one of its most ambitious ventures to date: a nightlife venue housed inside a Boeing 747.

Once known as one of Burning Man's most iconic mobile art pieces, the 150-foot-long plane was originally reimagined by the Big Imagination Foundation and transported to Nevada in parts. Now fully installed on AREA15's expansive campus, the jetliner is taking flight into a new chapter, hosting immersive nightlife experiences.

According to AREA15, the plane will be part of "the largest permanent installation of monumental art of its kind in the Southwest," featuring 60 sculptures and 30 murals once it's complete.

AREA15's decommissioned Boeing 747 aircraft will host various nightlife events.

Alongside the 747's debut, AREA15 is expanding its Zone 2 district with a newly developed 20-acre stretch of attractions, food and art that includes everything from Dolls Kill's flagship retail location to the largest Museum of Ice Cream ever built as well as Universal's "Horror Unleashed" attraction.

AREA15 has already drawn more than 15 million visitors since opening in 2020 as it continues to change the fabric of Vegas nightlife.

"Welcoming 15 million guests in under five years is an incredible milestone for AREA15," said Winston Fisher, CEO of AREA15. "With the launch of Zone 2: The Terminals, we're doubling down on what makes AREA15 unique and bringing even more world-class art, immersive experiences, food and beverage options to both locals and visitors alike."

Additional venues and attractions will continue to roll out through the end of 2025 and into 2026 including new bars like the Midway and Carousel, food offerings including Saint Honoré Doughnuts & Beignets and Chilango’s Tacos, and interactive installations at Game Depot and Gateway Plaza Games.

"The installation of the 747 and the vertical rise of Zone 2: The Terminals aren't just construction milestones—they're symbolic of the momentum we've built," Fisher added. "We're redefining what experiential development can look like by merging visionary brands, radical creativity and the future of immersive entertainment."

You can purchase tickets to AREA15 on the venue's official website.
