The big debut.

Zach Bryan’s third appearance at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater last night in Morrison, Colorado, was one for the ages.  After joining opener, Jack Van Cleaf, for a performance of his 2022 breakout hit, “Rattlesnake,” early in the evening, the Oklahoma native treated sold-out crowd to a 23-song setlist packed to the brim with past hits, surprise collaborations and even a cover of Little Feat’s “Roll Um Easy.”

Following the same setlist that he posted on X last Thursday, Bryan delivered electric renditions of the 4x platinum, “Oklahoma Smokeshow,” the platinum, “Motorcycle Drive By” and his Grammy-winning collaboration with Kacey Musgraves, “I Remember Everything.”

After bringing out Gabriella Rose for a surprise appearance of their new release, “Madeline,” which marked Rose’s first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100, Bryan followed that up with the biggest surprise of the night — the first-ever performance of his brand new single with Kings of Leon, “Bowery.”

Though it had been on the aforementioned setlist posted on X, it was unclear if it would simply be Bryan playing the song by himself, with the band or something else entirely. That all changed when he called Kings of Leon’s frontman, Caleb Followill, to the stage.

After a loud roar from the crowd, the pair delivered an absolutely electric performance of the new track, complemented incredibly well by Bryan’s extended backing band. There was no doubt upon its release that “Bowery” would be an absolute show-stopper live due to the dynamics present in the recording, and it was proven last night at Red Rocks.

Bryan would finish the night with a few more surprises that included bringing a pair of long-time fans up for a performance of his 2019 breakout hit, “Heading South,” and even bringing out his grandma for the sprawling rendition of “Revival” to close the show.

Though last night marked the first time “Bowery” was performed live, it certainly won’t be the last. This is due to Bryan headlining San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park this Friday, August 15th, with Kings of Leon, Turnpike Troubadours and rising star, Noeline Hofmann. It’s hard to believe a concert with that stacked of a lineup is not sold-out; however, there are still tickets available for purchase now.
