Earick made a bid for Maserati’s Formula E team earlier this year, however, he failed in that approach.

His consortium is reported to include 12 people, including NFL and NBA investors.

Fuelling the fire

Earick posted an image of The Sun newspaper on his social media this morning, with his reported bid on the page.

He wrote in the caption: “Pretty low key morning so far.”

It appears that the American is fuelling the rumours of his consortium making the move for Tottenham.

But as mentioned, if he is formally interested in taking over the Premier League club, he must make it public.

Tottenham are in top-flight action tomorrow at 8pm against Wolves, live on talkSPORT.

There’s no doubt that the takeover rumours will now be the talk of the town, with questions potentially posed to Thomas Frank.
