Tomorrowland Festival Coming to Thailand in 2026, Says Thai Tourism Head
"Tomorrowland in Thailand is closer to reality," Thailand's Prime Minister said of the festival's looming expansion to Asia.

Tomorrowland will host its first-ever edition in Asia in 2026, with Thailand announced as the historic host nation, Travel Weekly Asia reports. The news was confirmed by Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, following a high-level meeting between Thai officials and Tomorrowland executives in Bangkok.
The meeting brought together Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Tomorrowland CEO Bruno Vanwelsenaers as well as Tomorrowland's Head Of Media & Business Development, Filip Teerlinck. The festival's proprietors were conducting due diligence in early-2024, EDM.com reported at the time, but have now reportedly reached an agreement.
"Tomorrowland will be hosted in Thailand for the first time in 2026," Thapanee said in a statement.
Founded in 2005, Tomorrowland is the world's preeminent EDM festival brand, known for its fantastical stage design and elaborate visual storytelling across its global events. Its flagship gathering in Belgium generates substantial economic impact, with festivals as recent as 2023 generating nearly €300 million and employing roughly 15,000 people across both weekends.
Following last week's meeting, Prime Minister Paetongtarn posted on social media and expressed optimism, writing: "Tomorrowland in Thailand is closer to reality. I met with Mr. Bruno Vanwelsenaers to continue the vision initiated during former Prime Minister Srettha’s tenure—to bring one of the world's leading music festivals to Thailand."
Meanwhile, 400,000 people are expected to attend this year's fest in Belgium, which returns to the city of Boom across two weekends: July 18-20 and July 25-27. The lineup features Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz and many other influential electronic dance music artists.
It's important to note that Tomorrowland has not formally announced a festival in Thailand at the time of this writing.
