Sure, Tom…

In 2024, Netflix aired widely-viewed roast of NFL quarterback Tom Brady, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which by most accounts, was a huge success, and there were many viral moments that had people talking, like comments about Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen, and his personal life in general.

There was a moment where Kim Kardashian got booed that got cut out of the final edit, though people thought Brady was really upset over jokes about Patriots owner Robert Kraft, which were apparently off-limits, as well as the emotional impact jokes about his family life would have on his kids.

Comedians and former teammates of Brady all took turns at the mic, and while fans certainly enjoyed watching the spectacle, many were never convinced that Brady enjoyed it at all… many of them thought he hated it and ended up being offended by it, but I feel like you shouldn’t even sign yourself up for that if there’s any chance in the slightest you could be offended by anything… it’s a roast, and even if certain things are “banned,” there’s a high likelihood someone’s going to take on that subject matter anyways.

And during a recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, he asked Brady if he was “mad” about the roast, and Brady maintained that he wasn’t at all. In fact, he insisted that it was quite the opposite:

“No, I wasn’t mad. I thought like… because, and you would appreciate this too, I love being made fun of. Because when they make fun of you, you know they’re comfortable with you. If they’re comfortable with you, they make fun of you, then you know you’re really friends.

I think people that never make fun of you, they’re so well behaved, I’m like, man, is this real or not? Like, in a locker room, all you do is make fun of people. I’ve made every joke of Gronk and Julian… everybody. It’s just, that’s what we do.

And then when we did that in the roast, it was funny, because you know that all those guys that are doing that are your brothers.”

He’s certainly right about that, and whether or not some of the more personal jokes offended him, well, we’ll never really know… but even if he found this whole thing funny, I HIGHLY doubt he’s going to ever be signing up to do it again.

I think that tells you all you need to know about how much he really enjoyed getting roasted…

Even if he enjoyed the overall experience, I think we could all understand how some of those jokes might have stung just a little bit. But the fact that he can at least pretend like he enjoys getting made fun of is impressive, considering he’s won in pretty much every aspect in life and maybe still doesn’t take himself too seriously:
