Tim McGraw Says He’s The “Worst Singer In The Family” & His Daughters Don’t Want To Sing With Him

Imagine being one of the most recognizable country music artists in the world… yet being the least talented vocalist in your family.

Tim McGraw is currently living with and feeling that pain. Even with a new album, Standing Room Only, coming out in August, and a corresponding tour of the same name kicking off next March in Florida, the “Don’t Take The Girl” singer can’t shake the fact that he’s got a very talented family.

Not the worst problem to have, eh?

Of course, McGraw and Faith Hill – a country superstar in her own right – have been married since 1996. Collectively, the pair have a countless amount of number one hits, and them being together always means that a duet could happen at any moment when either of them are out on tour.

When Tim was asked by ET if fans could expect Faith to join him out on stage during his upcoming tour, the 58-year-old didn’t rule it out… but implied she likes being side stage for his shows:

“She comes out occasionally and hangs out with us. She loves it. She has fun on the side of the stage. If we had a camera on her, you’d see her dancing all night.”

And it might be best that Faith Hill doesn’t come out during the Standing Room Only Tour, just so she doesn’t one up McGraw.

Tim says that his wife and his three daughters – Gracie (26), Maggie (24) and Audrey (21) – could easily out-sing him. Even though he could potentially be “shown up” by his daughters (and his wife), Tim has explored the idea of having the whole family sing together at one point.

He just has to convince everyone to do it:

“All three of them are great singers. I’d love to do a song with all five of us at some point. I talk about it all the time and they’re like, ‘I ain’t gonna sing with you, dad.’ Maybe I’ll talk them into it.

Maybe they’ll sort of grow out of that phase a little bit where they don’t want to sing with me. They’ll sing with mom, but I’m probably not up to par with the rest of the them. I’m the worst singer in the family. It’s true. I’m pretty good, but I’m the worst singer in the family.”

Poor Tim McGraw.

I guess it’s good that he has some self awareness? And ultimately, being the worst singer in the Tim-McGraw-Faith-Hill family isn’t all that bad. There’s a lot of talent in that group, and someone has to be the worst one.

At the end of the day, I’m just happy to hear that Tim McGraw is good to go for his tour next year. Not too long ago, country music fans expressed concern when the country star shared a photo of he and Faith hill in Denmark relaxing at an outdoor dining establishment in Copenhagen.

While their love, or the fact that they were in Denmark to catch Audrey McGraw on tour, could have been the leading story… the cane that Tim McGraw is leaning on got a majority of the attention from fans. As you can see, the 58-year-old is resting his arms on what appears to be a wooden walking stick:

Tim McGraw explained in a recent interview that he had back surgery before his tour in 2024. Though he did that in hopes that it would make touring easier, things went south early in the tour, and he said his knees overcompensated trying to make up for his back pains, and they also went out on him a mere three weeks into touring.

After he finished last year’s tour, he had surgery on both of his knees, and while he was recovering from those surgeries, Tim’s back went out once again, and he had no choice but to have another surgery for that as well.
