The Downside Of Being A ‘Yellowstone’ Star? Cole Hauser Says It’s “Old Women” Grabbing His Behind

The Downside Of Being A ‘Yellowstone’ Star? Cole Hauser Says It’s “Old Women” Grabbing His Behind

People always dream of having fame and fortune… but never think about the downside of always being in the spotlight.

Cole Hauser has been acting since the early 1990s, and it’s thanks to some more recent roles that he’s officially been thrust into the category of most-well-known actors in Hollywood (not even sure if saying “Hollywood” is necessary anymore, since a lot of projects are now shot outside California).

The 50-year-old actor became a household name when he landed his role as Rip Wheeler in the hit Taylor Sheridan series Yellowstone. His bad-a** ranch hand character quickly became a fan favorite, and like many other storylines of the main and supporting characters in the Yellowstone universe, fans couldn’t get enough of the Yellowstone world that was being built.

Out in the real world, Cole Hauser started getting recognized – and evidently ogled – on a more regular basis. And it appears that his Rip Wheeler character was testing really well in a certain, older demographic. No focus group or study was needed to confirm that. So how do we know that Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler landed and connected with one particular age group?

Well, Hauser told Page Six that when it comes to his wildest fan interactions, the “old women” demographic usually takes the cake… literally:

“I’ve had some old women grab my a**. It’s been a little bit … a little bit strange. But for the most part of it, everyone’s been very respectful, but I think when the older ladies get a few drinks in them, they get a little aggressive.”

Cole Hauser having to keep his head on a swivel for wild cougars out there.

There’s just something about Rip Wheeler’s demeanor that’s attractive to women. Even Jennifer Lopez was reportedly looking for a “Rip Wheeler type” after she broke up with Ben Affleck. If anything, Hauser should be flattered. His butt being the target of older women out in the wild is really just a testament to the tremendous job he does of bringing Rip Wheeler to life on the small screen.

Unfortunately, I feel like it’s only going to get worse for Cole Hauser in the “old woman groping him” department. That’s because he’s set to reprise his role as Rip Wheeler in what is probably the most highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoff of them all: The Dutton Ranch. And not only that, news just broke earlier this week that he and Matthew McConaughey will be starring in a football drama that’s set to air on Netflix within the next year or two.

McConaughey and Hauser together (again) in a series? They’re both going to have to start traveling with tip-top security to keep the old women away.

And just a quick side note, I’m really interested to see what story Hauser and McConaughey want to tell with their newly announced football drama. Both actors are over 50 years old, so it wouldn’t make much sense for them to play football players themselves. Could they be brothers that are coaching against one another? Or perhaps on the same coaching staff of a college or NFL team? There’s all kinds of roads they could go down in the world of football.

And consequently, there will continue to be all kinds of “old women” interested in Cole Hauser’s… talent. Yeah, let’s just say talent. The post The Downside Of Being A ‘Yellowstone’ Star? Cole Hauser Says It’s “Old Women” Grabbing His Behind first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
