Stephen A. Smith Once Again Tells The Panel Of ‘The View’ Like It Is About President Trump: “77 Million People Don’t Care”

Stephen A. Smith was back on The View today, and per usual, it was must-see TV.
The sports personality stays very busy nowadays, starting off his day with First Take and then recording his personal, non-ESPN-affiliated Stephen A. Smith Show in the afternoons. He also helps hosts too many other shows on ESPN to count, and even started his own political commentary program: Straight Shooter with Stephen A. Smith.
He’s got all of that going on, yet he can still apparently find time to stop in and chat with the women on The View. Now I won’t get too much into long-running talk show, because there’s (far) more important things to get to. But I will point you towards his most recent visit on the day time program, where the sports host talked very straightforward about Donald Trump and once again touched on a potential career shift into politics.
Joy Behar really got things going by bringing up all of the concerns that she has with President Trump as of late. Whether it’s his cognitive tests, his Truth Social tirades, or signature name calling, Behar can’t believe that it’s all just being accepted as normal behavior by the Republican side. Joy laid this out for Stephen A, expecting him to match her disgust and denounce the President of the United States, but much like the name of his new political show, Stephen A. Smith shot the panel straight. He implied that they better get used to it, because Trump is going to make sure that kind of president continues by supporting J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio in 2028:
“Trump is being Trump. 77 million people don’t care. They voted for him. Those same 77 million people would do it again. He’s the President of the United States. Despite the onslaught of stuff that was coming his way, he knocked off folks, and the Democrats let him because they weren’t on their game… he’s doing what he’s doing. But in the end, you have to beat him, because he is going to dictate who his successor is going to be.”
Anytime Stephen A. Smith goes on the show, it’s like The View has met their match. They continually set him up with questions, hoping he takes their “side,” and then are quickly deflated when he gives them a dose of reality. It’s probably just Smith’s years and years of debate experience, a skill that makes many wish he would run for some sort of political office, just so Stephen A. could bring a worthy debate and discussion to the table.
Even the women of The View were asking if Smith would consider a presidential run… but the sports personality said it would take a lot of convincing for him to do it:
“I think I’d be a better candidate than most Democrats. But as it pertains to me, I don’t have any desire to be a politician. My life is really nice. But in the same breath, when I see what I saw prior to the election, if you are gonna come to me and tell me, ‘That’s our alternative.’ And your saying, ‘Stephen A., you could be on the debate stage with these politicians and you get an opportunity to call them out,’ I would love it.”
Stephen A. also took a bit of a swing at Kamala Harris with his comments, which definitely surprised the panelists of The View. And I also have to point out… it’s kind of hilarious to see such a serious topic play out amidst a set that looks like Christmas threw up all over it:
