Ford Suspends Employee Who Was Flipped Off By President Donald Trump

He says it was worth it.
A Ford employee’s interaction with President Donald Trump earlier today has gone viral – and resulted in the employee being suspended.
Trump was visiting a Ford F-150 plant in Dearborn, Michigan, an appearance meant to promote his economic agenda. But during his appearance, one employee who clearly isn’t a Trump fan and shouted at him from down below.
Rather than ignore the taunt, as most elected officials would, President Trump did what pretty much every non-politician would do and promptly responded with something that clearly wasn’t “love you” while also flipping him the middle finger.
Obviously President Trump has faced mounting criticism, including some from the right, for his handling of the release of files related to disgraced sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein. And it seems this person wanted to let the president know how they felt in person.
After the interaction went viral, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung released a statement calling the employee a “lunatic” and defending the president’s reaction:
“A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response.”
But apparently, the man’s employer didn’t appreciate the outburst.
The employee, identified as 40-year old TJ Sabula, told the Washington Post that he’s been suspended from his job pending an investigation – but he has no regrets:
“As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever… I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity. And today I think I did that.”
Executive chairman of the automotive manufacturer, Bill Ford, however, says he was “embarrassed” by the heckler:
“Discipline is in the hands of the organization. It’s unfortunate and 99% of the employees in the plant were great and I was embarassed because we’re the host. But that was six seconds out of an hour tour and the tour went great. I think he really enjoyed it and we did too. I understand that gets a lot of social media play and that’s the world we live in. But it was a very small part of the day.”
And Ford spokesman Dave Tovar told the Detroit Free Press that the matter would be dealt with internally:
“We’ve seen the clip you’re referring to. One of our core values is respect and we don’t condone anyone saying anything inappropriate like that within our facilities. When that happens, we have a process to deal with it, but we don’t get into specific personnel matters.”
Of course Trump has shown time and time again that he’s not afraid of engaging with his critics and hecklers, though most of the time it he’s usually sparring with those in the media.
This latest incident just proves that Trump has no problem letting anybody know how he feels about them – and like everything with Trump, how you feel about it depends on which side of the aisle you’re on.
But you’ve gotta admit, it’s pretty wild to see the president just going around flipping people off.The post Ford Suspends Employee Who Was Flipped Off By President Donald Trump first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
