Ryan Bingham does not miss.
The Yellowstone actor and “Southside of Heaven” singer is gifting fans with a brand new single, “The Lucky Ones,” ahead of his historic performance with Zach Bryan and John Mayer on September 27th at Michigan Stadium—the largest football stadium in the Western Hemisphere.
That stadium is the largest in the U.S., officially holding 107,601 people, although it has accommodated crowds of more than 115,000. In June of 2024, George Strait packed 110,905 people into Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, breaking the record for the North American attendance record for ticketed concerts, but this concert is expected to break that record.
Released today, September 23rd, via The Bingham Recording Co./Thirty Tigers, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen are delivering a message of love and loss with their new single “The Lucky Ones.”
Penned by longtime bandmate and close friend, Cody Huggins, “The Lucky Ones” will be featured on Bingham’s next studio album. Although the album has yet to be formally announced, Bingham has shared a quite a few songs lately. “The Lucky Ones” follows the release of tunes like “A Song For The Stone” and “Americana,” which fans also hope will appear on his next studio project.
“The Lucky Ones” is a truly poignant message about love and loss, seemingly a road warrior anthem for those who are chasing dreams. However, that kind of life comes with spending time away from those you love and seeing others face hardships and struggles. While dealing with your own demons, you have got to keep chugging ahead.
The lyrics are almost an oxymoron, noting that yes, they are lucky to live this chaotic and fulfilling life, but being a “lucky” one comes at a high cost.
“Two hands on the wheel
My eyes on the road
How far, how long can we go
From a back road to a heavy load
A highway from home
Leading us on further away
Oh, they called us the lucky ones
They called us the lucky ones.”
Bingham’s deep and calming vocals flawlessly deliver the message, which the melody perfectly accompanies.
Along with the new single, Bingham announced a new tour, The All Night Long Tour, which he and the Texas Gentlemen will embark on in October and will wrap before Christmas. Bingham seemingly has a lot in store, and shares that he plans to share some new tunes on stage at Michigan Stadium and on these tour dates. He shared via a press release that he knows he’s one of “They Lucky Ones” and is fired up about hitting the road to share both old and new songs with his fans.
“I am absolutely fired up about this album and our next run of tour dates. The Texas Gentlemen are a blast, and our friend Cody couldn’t have written a better song than ‘The Lucky Ones’ to relate to our way of life, love, and loss. It takes a whole lot of luck to get down the road.”
Ryan Bingham is one of the best in the business, and “The Lucky Ones” amplifies that. Turn it up:
