Megan Moroney has been teasing a new era of music for the last few months. Just three weeks ago she released a new single, “6 Months Later,” a song that’s been killing it on the charts— debuting at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. That makes the new single tie her previous highest debut, “Tennessee Orange,” which also entered at No. 30.
With the release of a new single and nods to new music from both her and her producer, fans have been anxiously waiting for new releases. But now, a new post on her Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok pages has fans hopeful that the wait won’t take much longer.
On Thursday evening, Megan posted the same series of photos to all her social media pages. It shows her laying on a bed, seemingly bawling, hair in rollers and wearing a fluffy pink robe, with the caption reading:
“…ok that’s dramatic”
The room appears to have a pink 70s flare with floral bedding and loud stripped wallpaper. In the photos there appears to be a cross hair symbol pointed at her from a distance, as the pictures seem to be a bit blurry.
However, the thing that really caught fans attention were the posters on the wall— or rather, the phrases printed on them.
The first is hard to make out, but with closer inspection it reads:
“It’s a Long Way Down”
The second one is more visible, and it reads:
“The world is hard on beautiful things”.
Both of these posters reference unreleased music that Megan has teased in the past year. Specifically, fans seemed to be very excited about “Beautiful Things,” a popular unreleased track amongst her fans. Many of the comments are predicting that these photos are Megan’s way of breadcrumbing a new drop.

Others are theorizing that the photos are shots from the “6 Months Later” music video, or a hint as to what color scheme the upcoming album will have. While “Am I Okay?” was a blue themed album, and “Lucky” had a green theme, fans are hoping this one might have a pink or yellow color scheme.

I’m hoping for pink myself, and that’s what it seems to be leaning towards, as the promo pictures from the “6 Months Later” release have a hot pink carpet and pink rotary phone.
