Nepo-Tim-ism? Sorry, I had to try out that joke…

Country music star Tim McGraw is a certainly a household name. Everyone knows the man behind songs “Don’t Take The Girl” and “I Like It, I Love It,” and if you don’t know him through his music, you likely know him through his role as James Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel series 1883. Or like most people, you know him through both.

As it turns out, McGraw and his wife Faith Hill aren’t the only actors and actresses in the family. Though eagle-eyed viewers might have noticed another McGraw was in a different Taylor Sheridan show, it’s only recently become apparent that was the case.

Tim McGraw’s daughter, Audrey McGraw, was actually in a small role in the hit TV-series Landman. Here’s a picture of her in case you are need of a refresher:

While we’re on the subject of Landman, Paramount+ ordered a second season of the show earlier this year. And at this point, production on the second act of Taylor Sheridan’s drama series – starring Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, among others – has begun.

Fans will surely be happy to hear that, since they flocked to the streaming service to watch the first season of Landman. It set a streaming record for Paramount+ last year when more than 14.9 million people tuned in during the show’s first four weeks. And many viewers might have missed that Tim McGraw’s daughter starred as the friendly neighbor named Shelby.

You might remember her in the scene where speaks to Ainsley Norris (Michelle Randolph) as she was sunbathing by the pool. It was in that scene where Shelby invited Tommy Norris’ daughter to a “Patch Party.” Then later in the series (Episode 7 to be exact), Audrey’s character returned as someone who was at the Patch party.

Though the role was relatively small, it marked Audrey McGraw’s first role in mainstream TV. Previously, she had starred in a 2020 short film titled Aubrey Bows, as well as another project called Broadway Performer Meets the Aldeans. The 23-year-old Audrey McGraw also has a promising career as a singer, even opening for Brandi Carlile on her Lost Time Tour in Europe this summer.

But now that I’ve pointed out her involvement in Landman, I’m sure fans of the show will keep an eye out for her Shelby character. As I stated earlier, it’s likely that not many people knew the child of Tim McGraw was starring in the latest Sheridan hit. McGraw mentioning the fact his daughter was in the show while he was on Tracy Lawrence’s podcast will likely open the eyes of many to Audrey’s acting career. And once you’re in the Taylor Sheridan family, it’s likely that you’ll feature in another project… he likes to work with the same people.

And hopefully she’s able to return in the second season of Landman. With production starting in early April, the second season will be airing sometime this fall.

Guess we’ll just have to fire up the best of Season 1 until then:
