Rooney, who scored in a 1-0 win over Sunderland for the latter on the same day, seems to have pestered Kenny about the dramatic finale. Kenny is set to fight fellow former Premier League star Curtis Davies in a Pro Project Promotions charity night next month. And when asked by Boxing Social if there is any other ex–footballer he’d like to face in the ring, Kenny said: “Probably Wayne Rooney. “Because he keeps hammering me about that Aguero goal. So, I think me and him need to sort it out in the ring. “13 years on… He’s still saying I let the goals in. It might have looked like I let them in, but I didn’t!” The Pro Project Promotions debut event on October 18 will take place in the Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Marvin Elliott vs Greg Halford, Leroy Lita vs David Noble, Lee Trundle vs Anthony Gardner, and David Bentley vs Jody Morris also feature on the card.
