What is happening at Villa?

After just missing out on Champions League qualification, Villa endured a tough summer.

Due to PSR constraints, the club were forced into sales, including that of academy product Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle.

This proved to be a very unpopular transfer within the Villa dressing room with several players said to be disappointed.

The season has started with no wins in five, and after the Sunderland match, Unai Emery called out his players.

It could prove to be a welcome distraction and a chance to build momentum.

However, things also appear to be not right behind the scenes, with president of football operations Monchi set to leave the club.
