Golf Legend John Daly Is Opening Up His Own Nashville Bar

Move over artist-owned bars in Nashville… it’s time for some golfer-owned bars.

Anyone that’s been to Nashville in recent years knows that the restaurant and bar scene has been overwhelmingly taken over by corporate establishments disguised as eateries and watering holes owned by country artists. Speaking on behalf of Whiskey Riff, the only two that are really worth a damn are Erich Church’s Chief’s and Alan Jackson’s AJ’s Good Time Bar.

The rest? Well, if you like overpriced drinks and EDM music, you’ll feel right at home.

The artist-owned bar has become somewhat of an epidemic in the Downtown Nashville area. That’s why it’s a bit refreshing to see a non-country-artist throwing their hat into the ring: John Daly. That’s right, the loud-mouthed, long-driving, peak-male-specimen known as John Daly is opening up his own bar in Nashville.

It appears to be called John Daly’s Nashville, and it’s located in the Midtown area of Music City. According to this post, the golf legend’s bar will be neighbors with the popular Losers Bar & Grill:

There’s not much information about it online, but it appears to be opening this summer. Judging by this sweepstakes post below, our best guess is that John Daly’s Nashville will open on the same day that Happy Gilmore 2 is released on Netflix – July 25. Daly’s Good Boy Vodka is apparently running a giveaway to allow for two lucky fans to attend both the bar’s grand opening and the premiere of the movie that Daly is set to star in:
