East Nash Grass Puts On A Bluegrass Masterclass With Latest Record ‘All God’s Children’

If you’re a bluegrass fan, you’ve gotta hear this one.

Acclaimed bluegrass group East Nash Grass has been releasing killer singles all summer long, but now their full length record is finally hear. And trust me, it does not disappoint.

Titled All God’s Children, the 10 track record from one of Nashville’s most underrated groups is an absolute masterclass in bluegrass musicianship and songwriting. With five songs on the album written by a band member, a couple of outside cuts from friends of the band, and a few lesser known covers, the project flows seamlessly between soothing ballads and upbeat fastgrass tracks, and seems to celebrate the strong community that bluegrass fosters.

One of the best bluegrass albums we’ve heard in a while, there isn’t a single weak link on the record, and each track brings something new and captivating to the table, whether that be or sonically or lyrically. Go ahead and check out the track list for East Nash Grass’ third record All God’s Children, and give a few of my early favorites a listen for yourself.

East Nash Grass is comprised of Maddie Denton on fiddle, mandolinist Harry Clark, banjoist Cory Walker, Jeff Partin on bass/dobro, and guitarist James Kee, with several band members contributing both lead and backing vocals. A tight-knit band of incredibly talented musicians individually, these artists form an absolute force of nature when playing together, and they have made that abundantly clear with All God’s Children.

It’s always a good idea to go experience live music, but catching a bluegrass show is about as good as it gets, and I’ve heard East Nash Grass puts on one of the best shows out there. Check out their fall tour dates below, and make sure to snag a ticket if they’re coming to a city near you.
