Did I just hear… what I think I heard?

Them boys from Oklahoma, affectionately known as Cross Canadian Ragweed, officially reunited earlier this year for a run of four sold out shows at Oklahoma State’s Boone Pickens Stadium. For red dirt country fans, this was their Eagles, their Blink 182, their Oasis… the comeback of all comebacks, and the fans showed up BIG time.

For context, their final show, way back in 2010, was at Chicago’s Joe’s Bar… where the Whiskey Riff boys spent many a drunken night. The room doesn’t even hold a thousand people, but when they announced the comeback, featuring the likes of fellow red dirt legends, Turnpike Troubadours, Jason Boland, Stoney LaRue, and more… they sold over 180,000 tickets over 4 nights, at a college football stadium. Just an epic return of Biblical proportions.

But then, they announced a show at Baylor University’s McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas, on August 23rd.

But before that… it looks like they may be headed to the Sunshine State… a little place called Aspen. Ok, no… but they are headed to Colorado next month, on July 21st.

Cody shared a video from California to the Ragweed Instagram page dropping the news, and while they were a bit cryptic, I think we can read between the lines:

My hunch is another college football stadium, most likely the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field, but with the Fort Collins mention, it could be Colorado State’s Canvas Stadium.

Either way… GET EXCITED.
