Who doesn’t want to look like Riley Green?
The country music heartthrob was recently voted People’s “Sexiest Country Star,” and has already gained quite a reputation as a ladies man in country music after being linked to several female artists (and most recently, the ex-girlfriend of Tucker Wetmore, Bryana Ferringer).
If you’ve been to a Riley Green concert you know the ladies go crazy for him, throwing their bras and panties – and themselves – at him onstage.
So Cledus T. Judd decided to poke a little fun at country music’s sexiest man.
If you’re somehow not familiar, Cledus T. is basically the Weird Al of country music. He’s had massive success over the years with his parody songs, like his “I Love NASCAR” take on Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar” and “(She’s Got a Butt) Bigger Than The Beatles,” which is obviously a parody of Joe Diffie’s “Bigger Than the Beatles.”
Over the years he’s worked with some of the biggest names in country music, from Toby Keith and Shania Twain to Buck Owens and Ronnie Dunn, and has sold millions of albums in his career.
Judd had announced that he was retiring back in 2015, but after being encouraged to reconsider by his friend Ray Stevens, is back releasing songs and poking fun at some of country’s biggest names.
Well he just released his latest song, a parody of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” that pays tribute to – of course – Riley Green:
“Your handsome is beyond compare
With suntanned skin and dark brown hair
Hell, you know that ain’t fair, Riley Green
Well your teeth are white, your eyes are blue
Dang I wish I looked like you
But I’ll never be that cool, Riley Green
Well I can not reveal the source
But I’ve heard you’re hung just like a horse
The rumor is, of course, of course, Riley Green
(So says Megan Moroney…just sayin’)”
Along with his connections to Moroney and Ella Langley, Cledus also jabs Riley for being named “Sexiest Country Singer,” something Riley admitted his friends gave him a hard time about too:
“I haven’t gotten anything for that yet, other than a bunch of texts from my buddies giving me a hard time. It would be cool to get a trophy, just anything like that.”
Well now you’ve got something for it: A Cledus T. Judd parody.
But Cledus makes it clear that he’s a fan of Riley in the song – although maybe a little bit jealous:
“Riley Green, Riley Green, Riley Green, Riley Green
Please don’t kick my butt because you can
(Otherwise I’ll sic Billy Ray Cyrus on you)
Riley Green, Riley Green, Riley Green, Riley Green
Man I hope you know I’m your biggest fan
Could I open up for your band, Riley Green?”
And he ends it with a line from Riley’s own song, “You Look Like You Love Me,” his duet with Ella Langley:
“Excuse me, why don’t I look like Riley?”
That’s pretty funny. Lotta dudes asking that question, and apparently Cledus T. Judd is one of them.
