Calling on the community for help.

The music community has come together in the past to help artists recover instruments and other gear destroyed by airlines or shipping companies. Now, it’s time to come together to help a musician with something else. Last night, Benjamin Tod, a stellar traditional country singer and a member of the Lost Dog Street Band, had his truck stolen from East Nashville.

Tod took to social media this morning to share the news and ask the community for help locating the black Ram truck. He is offering a reward for anyone who can help recover it.

“My truck was stolen from East Nashville last night. If seen take a photo and tag me. Nashville police are about useless but tell them too I guess. Hopefully, they find who did this before I do.

If you’re in the Nashville area, please share this.

$3000 REWARD FOR HELP RECOVERING.”

We hope that Tod finds his truck and that it’s not damaged when recovered.

If you’ve ever known anyone who has had their car stolen, it’s not only frustrating to be left without a mode of transportation, but finding the stolen vehicle can often be quite an ordeal. With man robbers taking the car across state lines, it becomes a goose chase to track down the vehicle, and usually, if they are recovered, there are thousands of dollars worth of damage or it’s totaled. Not to forget, personal valuables or sentimental items in the car are often lost when the vehicle is stolen.

Given that Tod is offering a reward for anyone who helps recover the truck, if you’re in the Nashville or greater Nashville area, keep your eyes peeled to help him out.

Many country music colleagues quickly commented, showing support and empathy for Tod. However, that does not solve the problem of his beloved truck being stolen. Check out a few of the sentiments left on his post.

“We’ll help spread the word.”

“Damn I hope you can find it.”

“That’s crazy. Sorry to hear this, brother.”

“Fkn lowlifes. Eyes peeled.”

“Hope you find ’em before the law does.”

“I’m so sorry, dude! Hope it’s found in one piece.”

“Man, I would be out for blood.. I’m sorry, Ben. I hope the cops find them before you do as well.”

“Kinda hoping you find ’em first. F**k a thief!”

“I know it’s a long shot, but I’ll be on the lookout in Hancock County. I sure hope you find it!’

“Sorry that happened to you. Hoping the best and that you get it back!”

While you’re here, fire up a few of Benjamin Tod’s songs.
