Alesso and Becky Hill Channel Trance Influences in New Dance Anthem, "Surrender"
The high-octane collaboration is a 140 BPM triumph that fuses trance nostalgia with Alesso’s euphoric festival sound and Becky Hill's powerhouse vocals.

Few tracks hit like a flashback and a future classic in one breath, but Alesso and Becky Hill's "Surrender" does both. Clocking in at 140 BPM, the track draws on the pulse of early-2000s trance while charging forward with the cinematic intensity of modern progressive house.
Out now via Capitol Records, "Surrender" arrives fresh off its live debut at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, where Alesso previewed the track to a roaring mainstage crowd. It's a full-circle moment for the duo, who previously linked on Alesso's hit "Words," co-written by Hill. This time, her voice is front and center, commanding and crystalline.
Alesso builds the arrangement around a foundation of ascending synths and a galloping rhythm section. It’s a production designed for scale, but it never loses its emotional core.
"I’m so excited for ‘Surrender’ to be out in the world," Hill said in a press release shared with EDM.com. “It’s great to work with Alesso on the record which blends emotional lyrics with those nostalgic trance influences. It’s a sound that takes me back, but also still feels so fresh and exciting."
Alesso is now readying the return of his Body Hi alias alongside Gorgon City at Coachella's Quasar stage during the festival's second weekend.
