Actress Loses It After Finding Out She Had Been Replaced By The Hawk Tuah Girl In New Glen Powell Series “Chad Powers”

Well I haven’t watched the series yet, but it’s produced by ESPN and Omaha Productions, which is the production company owned by brothers Eli and Peyton Manning, so I’d say it’s pretty good.
But apparently, one actress got a bit of a surprise when she watched the show expecting to see her own scene, only to find out she had been replaced…by the Hawk Tuah girl.
In a video posted to social media by actress Brittney Rae Carrera yesterday, the performer is clearly shocked to find that the scene she filmed had apparently been re-filmed with Haliey Welch, the viral social media star who shot to fame as the “Hawk Tuah girl” last year.
“They replaced me with Hawk Tuah? This is my scene. This is literally my scene. I filmed this.”
Tough way to find out they decided to go with somebody else…
Now, a lot of people thought the video was satire, because apparently Carrera posts other satire skits and sketches to her social media. But back in December, she had shared the trailer for the show along with a cast list showing her name, and what appears to be some photos from the filming of her scene.
And Welch took to social media to address the situation, confirming that she has spoken to Carrera and that she didn’t know she was replacing another actress when she agreed to the role:
“Hey guys I’ve been tagged in a lot of videos of @brittneyraeallday saying I “replaced her” in Chad Powers, I’ve been in contact with her and we’re cool. I wasn’t aware the role had been filled prior.
It was as simple as this: I was called and asked to be in a tv series with Glenn Powell and I said yes (bc duh it’s Glen Powell).
I wasn’t made aware this was happening and it was in no way malicious at all. I actually love her content and think she is a funny and sweet girl.”
For her part, Carrera shared Welch’s statement on her own Instagram, and in a post to her story, confirmed that she’s not upset with the Hawk Tuah girl for the situation:
“I am not upset with Hailey Welch at all. I hope one day she will teach me how to spit on that thang.”
The role was Welch’s first acting gig, and last month she opened up to People about getting to work with Powell on the show.
“I was tickled to death when they asked. They sent me a script, and they ended up changing it a bit. But I didn’t say too much — I was just happy to be there.”
I guess the script wasn’t the only thing they ended up changing…The post Actress Loses It After Finding Out She Had Been Replaced By The Hawk Tuah Girl In New Glen Powell Series “Chad Powers” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
