Buy one of the biggest cattle ranches in Texas, buy 78-year old steak house… makes sense, right?

The iconic West Texas Ranch, the Four Sixes, was sold to Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan for a cool $192 million dollars back in 2022. The 142,000-acre ranch located in Guthrie, Texas, was originally listed for a whopping $340 million, however the most recent listing from Chas S Middleton showed a price of $192,202,200. A group led by Yellowstone and Landman creator, Taylor Sheridan, made the purchase, and of course, we saw Yellowstone film down there quite a bit in Season 4, and fans are still expecting a spinoff to take place down there… we’ll see.

And now, Sheridan and his business partners have officially taken ownership of another piece of Texas history… the historic Cattlemen’s Steakhouse, located in Stockyards District of Fort Worth, Texas, right down the street from the iconic Billy Bob’s. The Cattlemen’s Steak House has been slinging piles of beef since it first opened its doors in 1947, but Sheridan and company and planning to dump a whole bunch of money into a full renovation that will feature new dining, bar, patio and event spaces.

Sheridan says Fort Worth is a cornerstone of both Texas and the United States, and he wanted to create a gathering place for those who have been integral to the city:

“Fort Worth is a vital city to both our state and our nation. It is where the West begins and where the cattle business was born. It is deserving of a gathering place for those who both shaped this city’s past and guide its future — where friendships can be fostered and formed, and the very best of this city can be celebrated.”

The new ownership also plans to launch the Cattlemen’s Club, an exclusive memebers-only part of the restaurant that is chock full of luxurious perks… no golf though. Membership will cost about $4,000 per person, which is an annual fee of $3,000, plus a one-time initiation fee of $1,000. Corporate memberships are available, which includes four individual memberships at the discounted rate of $9,000 annually, plus a $1,000 initiation fee. Additional corporate memberships can be purchased at $2,000 annually.

Club members will get access to the members-only section of the restaurant for them and their guests, priority reservations, VIP access to artists performing on patio stage, members-only wine, bourbon and craft spirits tastings, access to member’s boardroom for meetings or events, access and invites to members-only events both on and offsite.

The Cattlemen’s Club brochure says:

It was actually first announced in 2023 that Sheridan and his partners had made an investment in the steak house, but we’re now finally getting some details on what’s to come. Current owners, Marti Taylor and Larry Heppe, will stay on board as part owners, and the restaurant will continue to use 6666’s beef at the restaurant.
