The last time we wrote about Blackie Lawless, was in 2024 when he revealed he was a trump supporter. *Sigh* Not all that shocking, though, is it?

Now, we’re back with some much more interesting news. The W.A.S.P. vocalist and bassist has announced that he’s currently taking a break from making music and is instead concentrating on his new autobiography, which he hopes to release in 2026.

In an interview with EonMusic, Blackie Lawless spoke about his musical plans. He says,

“Well, we were working on stuff a couple of years ago during COVID and then we did the European tour two years ago, and the whole thing happened where I broke my back. It was just one catastrophe after another, so the whole idea of recording at that point just got pushed way on the back burner, and we’ve been touring ever since. So yes, there are ideas rattling around, but you know, when you could suspect to see it, I really couldn’t say.”

Since music is officially on the “back burner,” Lawless is currently focusing on other things. Speaking about his new autobiography, he shares,

“I’m working on a book too, so it’s, like, you know, I’ve been kind of busy. It’s about halfway done now, and I’m hoping [to put it out] sometime next year.”

This June, W.A.S.P. is embarking on a major tour across the UK and EU for their Album ONE Alive World Tour. In celebration of 40+ years of W.A.S.P., they will play through the entirety of their self-titled debut studio album across all headline dates.
