Use This Video to Learn the Lyrics to Coroner’s New Single “Consequence”

New old thrash metal has sometimes been a little wonky in recent years. You know what I mean by new old thrash, right? To me, that means some new music from an old thrash metal band and those offerings as of late have been… pretty mediocre (looking at you Dark Angel…). Hence my trepidation with this new Coroner effort Dissonance Theory.

I’m happy to report that any misgivings about the record are exaggerated. The thing kicks all kinds of ass and the latest single to come out of it, “Consequence,” does that in equal measure. It’s fast, it’s punchy, and it takes no prisoners.

For guitarist, producer, and songwriter Tommy Vetterli, “Consequence” is a reflection of one of the more painful aspects of his life.

“‘Consequence’ is our take on the madness of modern progress. What began as a technical track turned into a reflection about where blind innovation can lead us.

“The writing process for Dissonance Theory began with the raw energy of returning to the stage post-reunion, and with our own deep curiosity to explore what Coroner would sound like today. Looking at it now, it’s definitely a new chapter, but without compromising our DNA.”

So yeah, check out “Consequence” and Dissonance Theory as a whole. It’s a killer 1-2 punch.
