Tim Lambesis Sold All His Motorcycles to Fund New As I Lay Dying Music

Tim Lambesis is kind of like a roach at this point—he just won’t really go away. After attempting to revive As I Lay Dying a few times to no avail, the band has returned YET AGAIN with another lineup and a new single, called “Echoes.” It’s been suggested that this current attempt at relevance is nothing more than a “money grab” and to that, Lambesis basically said “*alarming buzzer sound* YOU’RE WRONG.”

According to the disgraced vocalist, he had to sacrifice a bit to make it happen. He posted his response, which featured “Chill Out Dickwad” by Austrian Death Machine, on both the band and his personal Instagram profiles:

“0% chance you have even the slightest idea how the music industry works. I sold all my motorcycles just to get this back on track. It’s pure passion.”

At least this passion won’t kill someone (hopefully). This time, Lambesis has Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within) on vocals/bass, Bill Hudson, Don Vedda, and Jack Daniels (War Of Ages) on guitars, and Tim Yeung (ex-Divine Heresy) on drums, in tow.

Tim Lambesis commented:

“As the only primary songwriter on every AILD album, I’m always going to a find a path forward for this catalog of music that I’m so passionate about. But sometimes things come together even better than expected. I’m incredibly grateful for my new bandmates. In addition to being incredibly talented, they genuinely care about my well being and the band we are now all a part of.”
