Sky Sports are rebooting their Sunday Supplement show four years after it disappeared from television screens. The iconic programme first reviewed the weekend’s newspapers from 1999 until 2020, and succeeded Hold the Back Page. Sheth, who is already a reporter and presenter for Sky Sports News, has been with Sky since 1998. “To be given the opportunity to present the show is all a bit surreal,” he told the Mail. “And I can’t wait to get started.” Sunday Supplement was cancelled in 2020 due to fixture congestion as per a Sky Sports spokesman. “The huge volume of live football since the restart and a condensed season that has already begun means we must look at how best to deploy our resources for the benefit of our customers,” they said. It was still broadcast during the COVID pandemic, but the presenter and guests filmed the show via Zoom instead of the studio. Despite leaving television screens five years ago, Sunday Supplement has continued in the form of a podcast. However, fans will now be able to watch debates and discussions after Saturday’s fixtures once again.
