Sh*t That Comes Out Today: September 19, 2025
Featuring new releases from Castle Rat, Nine Inch Nails, and Paradise Lost The post Sh*t That Comes Out Today: September 19, 2025 appeared first on MetalSucks.

Gonna keep it real simple this week. Fuck fascism. Fuck anyone that infringes on the First Amendment. God damn, man. Here’s your new batch of metal music.
Castle Rat
The Bestiary (King Volume Records/Blues Funeral Recordings)
This band has been described on this website in the past as the kind of music that would make Ronnie James Dio blush. It’s groovy, its bag of holding is stuffed with fuzzy riffs, and it’s got the kind of aesthetic that would make LARPers the world over jealous. But don’t let the somewhat nerdy side of things dissuade you. Castle Rat rocks and this sophomore effort is further proof of that fact.

Ho99o9
Tomorrow We Escape (Last Gang Records)
I was this many days old when I learned these guys came from my original hometown of Newark, New Jersey. Strange to see a horrorcore/noise punk/punk rap group hail from Brick City, but now that I know that, I totally get it. Tomorrow We Escape has been described by the band as their “most emotionally charged offering to date” and politically charged to boot. Every track should inspire you to jam out and throw a middle finger to authority.

Many Eyes
Combust (Perseverance Media Group)
This is that band that’s fronted by ex-Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley. They put out The Light Age last year. Combust is just more of the kind of fired up metalcore you’d expect from Buckley and co. If that’s your jam (and you probably already know if it is if you checked out The Light Age), then this one’s for you.

Nine Inch Nails
Tron: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (The Null Corporation/Walt Disney Records)
It’s the first film score directly attributed to Nine Inch Nails and not just Trent Reznor or Atticus Ross, which instantly makes it cool. But when you consider this is also the first batch of new Nine Inch Nails music since 2020, that makes this shit even more of a must listen. As for the music, it’s associated with Tron, so it’s dark and cyberpunky as all get out. Definitely don’t forget your mirrorshades if you’re gonna drive around Night City with this on, choom.

Paradise Lost
Ascension (Nuclear Blast)
Seventeen albums is a looooot of music to have released out into the wild. Well, unless you’re King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and you shit LPs like it’s going out of style, but I digress. This bonafide staple of the doom metal genre has returned for another slate of tracks that further solidifies them at the top of the game. It’s slow and down a lot of the time, but there’s plenty of kick ass grooves and riffs on this one to get you excited, too. Just maybe don’t look to feel happy all the time when you hit play on this one.
Other Shit That Comes Out Today:
A Killer’s Confession, Victim 2 (MNRK Heavy)
Abyssalis, Adaptation (Transcending Obscurity Records)
I Prevail, Violent Nature (Fearless Records)
Kamelot, Ascension 1995-1998 (Noise Records)

Species, Changelings (20 Buck Spin)
Stoned Jesus, Songs To Sun (Season Of Mist)
