Riley Green is getting real when it comes to talking about his future. During a recent chat with Audacy’s Rob + Holly, Riley Green candidly shared what he hopes his future looks like.
Over the last year or so, country music fans have expressed interest in Riley Green beyond his music, especially in his personal life. I think by now we’re all familiar with the theories about Ella Langley and her duet partner, Riley Green, who fans have quite literally been obsessed with since they released their hit song “You Look Like You Love Me” last year.
Megan Moroney was also caught up in rumors about a love triangle when she was spotted hanging out with Riley Green, which became a huge story. People are still trying to get to the bottom of it. The theory about Megan and Riley really gained traction after they were first spotted at Riley’s Nashville bar, Duck Blind, and later were seen riding around in Riley’s Chrysler LeBaron convertible in his hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama. The viral TikTok is available to see HERE.
Now, fans are fixated on him being with Tucker Wetmore’s former girlfriend, Bryana Ferringer, whom Green took to the CMA Awards. However, according to Riley Green, the two are just friends and pointed out that while she was his +1, they did not walk the red carpet together.
“It’s gonna be tough to tip-toe out of having a date to an award show. Yeah, I mean, you go to award shows all the time, and I’m always by myself, or I’ve got like, a security guy, or a buddy with me, so I took a friend with me to the award show.
We had a nice time. My mom’s gone with me before. So it was my first or second award show date ever. I guess I’ve gotten big enough, this is a really big issue, you know?”
During a recent conversation with Audacy’s Rob + Holly, Green addressed how the public is infatuated with his personal life and joked that it’s always funny to see who the internet thinks he’s dating each week.
“There’s a strange interest in my personal life over the last year or so, without me saying or really doing anything. They come up with all these hypotheses theirselves, so it’s fun for me to sit here and watch, and all my buddies, my family, they all get entertainment by seeing these speculations about who I’m dating or what I’m doing, and if it introduces somebody to my music, I guess it’s all right.”
While Riley Green’s dating life might remain in speculation until he’s ready to settle down, once that time comes, he shared with the radio hosts that he hopes to start a family of his own.
“I have an interest in kids, just not 17, you know what I mean? I don’t want a basketball team. I’m looking for just a couple of little kids to hang out with.”
Riley Green jokes that he does not want to have as many kids as his friend Thomas Rhett, however. He jokes that he does not know how Thomas Rhett and his wife manage it all, as they are expecting their fifth child. He says that his sister has three children, and he does not know how she does that at times, with them running all around.
So it sounds like two little ones might be Green’s ideal number…
I am sure that fans would love to see the “Worst Way” singer settle down and pop out a few little Riley Greens, although that thought will also break quite a few hearts like Koe Wetzel did when he announced he and his longtime girlfriend Bailey Fisher were expecting their first child.
One day… but that day is not today.
