Poppy’s New Single “Guardian” Dropped
Hype. The post Poppy’s New Single “Guardian” Dropped appeared first on MetalSucks.
Okay, time to wake up for realsies now. With her follow up to 2024’s Empty Spaces now firmly behind her, Poppy’s got a new album titled Empty Hands coming out next month, so of course that means we’re getting a new single in the form of a more pop-tinged track “Guardian.”
Absent are Poppy’s banshee-like screams in this one. Instead, they’re replaced by her soaring vocals, hitting highs that showcase her ability as a vocalist. It still has that metalcore vibe, but it’s definitely one of the more tame offerings.
Just like her music in Empty Spaces, this new track was produced and co-written by ex-Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish and you can tell. Between this track and the previously released “Bruised Sky,” my hype levels for a new Poppy album has only increased.
Empty Hands will be released on January 23 via Sumerian Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
