Marshmello Launches New Era of Joytime Collective With First-Ever Compilation, "Jumpstart Vol. 1"

After recently celebrating 10 years of Joytime Collective, Marshmello is now lighting the fuse for what comes next. The masked hitmaker is launching his record label into its boldest chapter yet with Jumpstart Vol. 1, its first-ever artist compilation.

The project arrives as a high-octane forecast of Joytime's future. It kicks off with a brand-new track from Mello himself, "Bassline Flexa," which lives up to its name by serving up gut-punching bass.

From there, the release hands the reins to a curated roster of emerging producers who stretch the label’s aesthetic into new territory without straying far from its roots. Killmatter's “Balenciaga Barbie” channels the kinetic energy of Miami nightlife through a glitchy lens of breakbeat and trap textures, while Lunnari’s “Easy To Leave” strikes an emotive chord that contrasts beautifully with the project’s heavier moments. DIMEPIECE and Holmesick bring adrenalized trap textures to form while Dr. Apollo closes things out with a final dopamine hit in "Shutdown."

After a decade defined by genre-defiant collaborations and massive crossover appeal, Marshmello is refocusing Joytime Collective to serve as an incubator for the next generation. What began as a personal creative outlet is now scaling into a platform capable of lifting artists who reflect dance music’s ever-evolving spirit.
