Go ahead and throw that steak on the grill for POTUS.

President Donald Trump is well-known for his diet that seems to mainly consist of McDonald’s and well-done steak with ketchup, washing it all down with a Diet Coke. But now that his friend has a new seafood restaurant, he may have to mix things up next time he’s in Nashville.

Kid Rock celebrated the grand opening of his new upscale seafood restaurant, The Detroit Cowboy, last night here in Nashville, guests like Lee Greenwood, Theo Von, and of course, Kid Rock himself in attendance.

The restaurant is the second Nashville business venture for Kid Rock (whose real name is Bob Ritchie), along with his downtown bar. But it’s not his first go round in the restaurant business: He previously had a restaurant called Made In Detroit in his home state of Michigan that closed back in 2020 after he decided not to renew his licensing agreement following attacks from Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.

As Kid Rock has said, his last experience in the restaurant business taught him to “go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated.” And so he decided that for his next restaurant, he would be taking his business to Nashville, where he already operates his massively successful bar.

For the Detroit Cowboy, Kid Rock partnered with Joe Muer Seafood, an upscale restaurant chain that started in Kid Rock’s home state of Michigan before expanding to Tennessee, rebranding their Nashville location as The Detroit Cowboy.

And Kid Rock has described his place as a fine dining restaurant for patriots:

“The Detroit Cowboy isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a culinary ride like no other, where like-minded folks who love this country can dine in style. Whether you wear a bow tie, a bolo tie, or no tie—it’s all good.

I re-designed this place to share some of my favorite milestones and personal artifacts—cool gifts and mementos from legends like Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Eminem, Bob Seger, and Motown—to name a few, plus a few wild stories of my own as well as nods to musical heroes like Aretha, Stevie and both Hanks of course!

The Detroit Cowboy is the only place on earth where Detroit grit and Nashville swagger collide for the finest dining hangout. The Vicaris and Joe Muer know fine dining, I know how to hang pictures, create a vibe, and make things fun!… all while still holding two middle fingers up high for the haters!”

To put it simply, I am here to take the foo-foo out of fine dining.”

Well apparently one of Kid Rock’s friends is excited to check out the place: President Donald Trump.

In a post to his Truth Social platform, the president congratulated Kid Rock on the opening of his new restaurant, and said he hopes to get to visit in person soon:

“Congratulations to my friend, Kid Rock (I call him Bob!), on the Grand Opening of his new Nashville restaurant, “The Detroit Cowboy.” I hear it is a very friendly MAGA establishment, and look forward to going there sometime soon!”

I have a feeling if he does get to Nashville to visit, Trump will like what he sees: Especially this painting of the president following the assassination attempt at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last year, signed by Trump himself.

And despite being a seafood restaurant, the Detroit Cowboy also has steak on the menu – so luckily President Trump will be able to get his usual ribeye when he stops by for dinner. The post “Look Forward To Going There Soon” – President Trump Congratulates Kid Rock On The Opening Of His New Nashville Restaurant, The Detroit Cowboy first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
