Jackson Perkins, The Marine Who Riley Green Brought Onstage For Viral Performance Of “In Color,” Has Tons Of Other Great Covers On TikTok You Need To Hear

He’s got it.

Over the summer, Riley Green headlined Windy City Smokeout in Chicago over the weekend, where he brought out a very special guest to sing Jamey Johnson’s “In Color” with him… First Lieutenant Jackson Perkins of the United States Marine Corps.

The video went viral, and I think everyone that saw it was impressed…

But it wasn’t just a one-off performance.

Jackson has actually been posting tons of videos on TikTok of covers of tons of country songs since his performance with Riley, and he’s incredibly talented and has share a wide variety of renditions that are all impressive.

Jackson has plenty more over on TikTok, and while I’m not sure if he has any interest in any sort of country career following his time in the Marines, but either way, he’s got a great voice and certainly has a future in it if ever decides to go down that path.

It’s also not easy to get up in front of a huge crowd and perform with a star like Riley and hold your own, which he certainly did earlier this summer, so I will be interested to see if he decides to put out any originals or something of that nature down the road.
