Gloryhammer Charge into Battle with New Single “On a Quest for Aberdeen”

To the average person, today is a normal Tuesday afternoon. But for Gloryhammer fans, we’ve been summoned by the Gods, with an important request: prepare for battle in Aberdeen. Today, British metal titans Gloryhammer have shared their debut single of 2025, accompanied by an animated lyric video.

Speaking about their new single, Gloryhammer says,

“The story continues the journey of Angus McFife V – a mysterious character first revealed in 2022’s fan favourite single, ‘Fly Away’. His discovery of interstellar travel leads him to the ruins of Space Dundee, a year after the events of ‘Space 1992’. Dismayed and disheartened, but never beaten, he begins his quest for the golden fortress of Aberdeen, only to find himself trapped and surrounded in the HEAVENS OF THE DEMONFLAME.”

This June, the group are hitting the road for their Dundax Ascendant Summer tour, alongside Austrian pirate metal outfit, Visions of Atlantis, who will accompany them on select dates. Following that, Gloryhammer are joining Glyph for Alestorm’s US tour this winter.

Speaking about the US tour, the band shares,

“MIGHTY WARRIORS OF THE USA It’s time to make America HOOT again! This September and October we’ll be joining Alestorm as special guests for the most extensive quest across The USA that we have EVER embarked upon! Who will be joining our troops for EPIC BATTLES this fall??”
