Dollapalooza: Dom Dolla Breaks Attendance Record at Lollapalooza's Storied Perry's Stage
A cancelled flight out of Ibiza almost derailed Dolla's headlining performance, but Lollapalooza chartered a private jet to travel over 4,500 miles to Chicago in time.

Dom Dolla made Lollapalooza history last night by drawing the largest crowd ever to the festival's iconic Perry’s Stage, the DJ announced today.
But the path was a stressful one, beginning with a cancelled flight from Ibiza that threatened to strand him thousands of miles from his headlining set in Chicago. The Australian house music superstar was fresh off another high-flying performance for his summer DJ residency at Hï Ibiza.
Lollapalooza's solution was as dramatic as the problem. The festival's organizers chartered a private jet to collect the Australian house music superstar, who documented the rescue mission as well as his attempt to introduce the flight crew to the polarizing Vegemite spread.

The investment paid off. Dolla's performance in the Windy City drew unprecedented crowds, with festival-goers packed as far as the eye could see. He later dubbed the event "Dollapalooza" in posts across his social media.
"The festival just told me that was the biggest crowd they’d ever had at the Perry stage in Lollapalooza’s history," Dolla wrote after his set. The storied stage takes its name from Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell.
The record-breaking performance is the latest triumph in a remarkable year for the "Forever" producer, who in March sold out a doubleheader at Madison Square Garden before headlining another twin bill in Denver and breaking the attendance record at Civic Center Park.
