“Deserves To Be In His Bliss” – Miley Cyrus Weighs In On Her Dad’s Relationship With Elizabeth Hurley

Miley is here for her father being happy.

Billy Ray Cyrus has a new woman in his life after his divorce from Firerose. Over Easter weekend, Billy Ray Cyrus hard launched his relationship with the Gossip Girl actress and Austin Powers legend, the beautiful Elizabeth Hurley.

The two shared an image of Cyrus kissing her forehead. The image is very tender and shows that the couple, who first met on the set of a movie, Christmas in Paradise, in 2022, are more than friends.

When the two were filming the movie, Tish Cyrus had her thoughts and suspicions that he was cheating on her with Liz, but Billy Ray denied it.

And in a clip from Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show, Billy Ray opened up about his relationship with Hurley and how much they laughed on the movie set and noted how much “chemistry” they had:

“We did very few scenes together, but the couple times we were in the same scene, there was a chemistry there. We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot. The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.”

While I’m not sold that Billy Ray Cyrus was unfaithful while married to Tish, the suspicion of chemistry between the two was spot on. When Billy Ray was going through his most recent divorce and not in the best phase of life, giving a horrific performance at the Liberty Ball, which led to his family begging him to get help, an old friend reached out to him, noting she was there for him.

But given that it had been a long time since the two had been together, Billy Ray admitted he had to ask who was texting him when Elizabeth first reached out.

“So, I text back, I go, ‘Who is this?’ And it’s like, ‘Elizabeth Hurley.’ Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh.”

After the two reconnected, a source close to Elizabeth Hurley shared that the actress encouraged Billy Ray to mend the broken relationships with his family when they got together and supported him getting his life back on track. Her efforts seemed to have worked, as Billy Ray shared a post boasting about his two daughters and their new music.

Miley and her dad seem to be in a better spot, as Page Six recently reported that she fully supports her dad’s new lady. While talking with The Interview podcast, she admitted that at first, it was hard for her to see her dad with someone other than her mother, Tish. She let her inner child’s thoughts go and let her adult thoughts take charge.

“At first, it’s hard because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, ‘Yes, that’s your dad, but that’s just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy.’ So my adult self has caught up.”

When Miley’s mother and father split up, it caused a rift between the relationship she and her father had, but as they say, “time heals all wounds,” and it appears that Miley is adopting that motto now, letting her dad back into her life.

“I think timing is everything. You know, there’s been enough bridges now of time to get us all reconnected.”

Miley Cyrus added that she had to learn to respect her parents as individuals and grew a lot during her parents’ divorce. She fully admitted that she took on the burden of her mom’s pain during that time, which could have contributed to her and Billy Ray growing apart, but now she sees her mom fully in love and wants the same for her father.

“My mom’s really loved my dad for her whole life. And I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard… But now that my mom is like so in love with my stepdad Dom, who I also just completely adore. And now that my dad, I see him finding happiness outside of that too, I can love them both as individuals instead of as a kind of, you know, a parental pairing.”

It seems like the Cyrus clan is mending their bridges and becoming a family unit again, thanks to Billy Ray’s relationship with Elizabeth Hurley.

Is Billy Ray Cyrus a contender for the biggest comeback of the year? For his personal life, I’d say he’s well on that path.
