The youngster was also making his seventh appearance for the Red Devils first-team since arriving at Old Trafford. Obi-Martin completed a move from Arsenal back in October to link up with the United academy. He was handed his Premier League debut in February, appearing as a substitute against Fulham. The 17-year-old is still awaiting his first goal for the Red Devils. Despite that, he has already scored 12 times in just 10 appearances for their Under-18s. Explaining his decision to hand Obi-Martin his first league start, Amorim told Sky Sports: “We need to focus a lot on our young players. “For me, it is not a massive game for Chido. I know it’s important for Chido, but I don’t want a lot of pressure on Chido. “He played really well in the minutes against Wolverhampton. I feel he is ready to cope with the demands of the Premier League.” As for rotating his squad, he added: “It is really hard because we want to improve in the table.
